Nritya Nippon is an institute dedicated to the Lucknow Gharana of Kathak, following the artistic legacy of the late Pt. Arjun Mishra, functioning as an international extension of the Anushka Kathak Dance Academy of Sri Lanka. This Academy is based in Kawaguchi, and is connected with the vibrant cultural hub of Tokyo, Japan.
The institute was established in 2008 in Sri Lanka and has earned its reputation for its unique in-house productions and internationally acclaimed alumni. It is now growing in Japan under the name of Nritya Nippon, aiming to bring more rattling performances in the future.
Nritya Nippon primarily caters to students who are passionate about learning classical and contemporary Kathak dance. Kathak is one of the main dance styles in India and consists of various gharanas each with its distinct style and identity. Whether it is the swift spins or the intricate footwork, Kathak remains a visual delight for audiences.

I teach traditional Kathak from the Lucknow Gharana, following the Guru-Shishya tradition passed down by Pt. Arjun Mishra.
